US DOE picks NRG CCS project for USD 154m
9 Mar 2010 / United States
NRG will potentially use the cash to construct a 60MW CCS project at its Parish Unit 7 in Thomson, Texas. Under the six-year project, NRG will demonstrate engineering firm Fluor’s amine solvent CCS process and US-based Ramgen Power System’s CO2 compression system. Captured CO2 will be used for enhanced oil recovery in a nearby oilfield.
